This course sets out to initiate participants to the various types of presentation that a participant is likely to have to contend with in their business/work or private environment. It is sometimes said that good presenters are born but not made. However the truth is that anyone can learn the skills and techniques necessary to become a good presenter. With practice and feedback, even the most timid person can look like a professional.
Participants will learn to:
• Speak Effectively: lively, clear, committed, confident speaking.
• Identify objectives of a presentation.
• Plan a successful presentation.
• Know your audience: identification of the needs of the people you are to present to.
• Know your environment: acoustics, audio-visual equipment, computer based presentations.
• Deliver a presentation (with or without Microsoft PowerPoint):
- body language: eye contact, stance, gestures, etc.
- controlling questions and answers confidently.
• Critic your own performance.
Préalables
Students will learn communication techniques (speeches and PowerPoint presentations) in the business environment. People who wish to overcome their fear and perfect their skills to become a strong presenter should take this course. You will also be able to practice your skills, in both English and French.
