"Cégep de Sherbrooke is in a student town. It’s a calm place — perfect to focus on my studies. I also appreciate the job prospects available to me after my three-year program.

At first, my arrival in Sherbrooke was a bit of a shock. I felt homesick and nostalgic. But after some time, I adjusted, and now I find both my studies and daily life here really enriching. I really value Quebec’s teaching approach — it pushes us to become more independent and resourceful.

Sometimes I regret not taking full advantage of my first year in Sherbrooke to explore Quebec culture and enjoy this new environment more fully. I definitely plan to make up for it in the coming years!

After my DEC, I plan to continue to university, get my chartered accountant diploma, and return to Mali to contribute to my country’s development."
