"I chose the Cégep in Terrebonne because I wanted to challenge myself by studying in a 100% French-speaking school and living a completely different reality from my own. At first, I was really worried about not being understood or not being able to express myself well in a new language.
So I looked into the cégep’s language support services, registered for the Written French Help Centre (CAFÉ), and practised my writing during my first two semesters. It was really important — not just for my academic success, but for my personal growth too!
Now I see that the more time passes, the more comfortable I feel in class with my classmates and teachers. I feel really welcomed in my Social Work Techniques group, and I’m excited to bring all these experiences with me into the workforce!"
