Hi, my name is Emilie, I’m from France and I joined the Cégep de Sorel-Tracy in January 2019 in the Special Care Counselling program. It’s the best decision I’ve ever made. Studying abroad helped me learn a lot about myself — and gave me access to a high-quality education.

Throughout my school years, I’ve never seen teachers so involved with their students. The relationship with teachers is great — they’re available, they listen, and they care about our challenges. They always supported me and believed in me. Not once did they let me think I wasn’t meant for this career.

I’m truly grateful. I honestly don’t think my experience in France would’ve been this enjoyable.

On top of that, I’ve had plenty of job opportunities related to my program — it’s great to know that even before graduating, employers trust us and offer jobs in special care counselling. That kind of support is really encouraging for the future."
