ACS Administration and Computer Network Security (RAC)

The Recognition of Acquired Competencies (RAC) is a simple and personalized process. It can be completed at your own pace and, most importantly, it allows you to avoid relearning what you already know. It aims to assess the skills and knowledge that an adult has developed outside of the academic setting, whether through professional experiences (work) or personal experiences (life). To be admitted to a RAC process, you must meet the admission requirements of the CEGEP where you are applying.

Admission requirements and registration procedures vary from one CEGEP to another for programs leading to an ACS (Attestation of College Studies) and offered through the RAC process. However, you should expect to provide certain documents, such as: a birth certificate, proof of education (secondary school diploma, college diplomas, etc.), transcripts, a comparative evaluation or foreign diplomas (if applicable), a résumé (CV), etc.

For individuals born outside of Canada, you will be required to provide proof of Canadian citizenship or permanent residence.

It should also be noted that the main steps of the RAC process are the same for everyone and always begin with an information session, either individual or group-based. This information session is provided free of charge by the CEGEP.
