ACS Damage Insurance Personal Lines
About the program
This training opens doors to various career paths in a fast-growing industry. Graduates are trained to work as agents, brokers, claims adjusters, and underwriters in personal lines damage insurance.
This innovative training is offered in collaboration with the La Coalition pour une Relève en Assurance de Dommages as a work & study program PRET. This partnership between Vanier Continuing Education and the Industry offers students the opportunity to obtain an Attestation in College Studies and gain work experience. The students selected to work with a participant insurance company receive a full salary for the duration of their training.
Condition of admission
Minimum requirements
To be admitted to an ACS program, applicants must possess a Quebec Secondary School Diploma (DES) or equivalent, as well as acquired knowledge and skills deemed sufficient by the College for success in the program. They must also meet one of the following conditions:
- Have interrupted studies for at least two consecutive terms or one school year, OR
- Have completed at least one year of post-secondary studies spread over a year or more, OR
- Be subject to an agreement between the College and an employer or government program, OR
- Possess a professional studies diploma (DEP)
Applicants must also be:
- A Canadian citizen, OR
- Permanent resident, OR
- Temporary Resident (with a valid study permit and Certificat de Sélection du Québec - CSQ)
In addition, applicants must qualify for Quebec Residency (living in Quebec for at least one year) or have a CSQ. To be successful in this program, candidates must have a good command of the English language.
