² These fees are set by the ministère de l’Immigration, de la Francisation et de l’Intégration for the year 2026. Living expenses cover day to day costs in Quebec. They include, among others, the following: housing, settlement costs, health and hospital insurance, food, clothing, books and school supplies, and social activities.

Tuition Fees – 2025–2026 Academic Year

Tuition fees applicable to international students take effect starting in the Summer 2025 term.

Pre‑university programs | Human Sciences | Administrative Techniques

For these fields of study, the applicable tuition fees are CAD $7,354 per full‑time term.

Physical Techniques | Arts Techniques

For these fields of study, the applicable tuition fees are CAD $9,519 per full‑time term.

Biological Techniques

For these fields of study, the applicable tuition fees are CAD $11,398 per full‑time term.

Financial Assistance

Thanks to the financial assistance available, you may be exempt from the tuition fees applicable to international students!

Tuition fees vary depending on the study program, and international students must pay them each term. If you are a French national and are not living in another Canadian province at the time you submit your application for admission, you will be exempt from the tuition fees normally charged to international students when enrolling in a cégep.

If you are the spouse, dependent son, or dependent daughter of a person whose main purpose for staying in Québec is to work and who holds a closed work permit or a post‑graduation work permit, you will be exempt from the tuition fees normally charged to international students when enrolling in a cégep.

Depending on your country of citizenship and place of residence, you may be eligible for tuition fee exemptions, scholarships, or financial assistance offered in partnership with your home region.

  • If you are a French national and are not living in another Canadian province at the time you submit your application for admission, you will be exempt from the tuition fees required from international students when enrolling in a cégep.
  • If you are a national of a country other than France, you may be eligible for one of the programs listed below.

Tuition Exemption Program

This program allows international students enrolled in a technical program leading to a Diploma of College Studies (DEC) to be exempt from the additional international tuition fees.

To apply, you must be admitted to or enrolled in a CEGEP. The designated staff at your CEGEP will provide the application form.

Scholarship Program

This program provides international students with a scholarship for a technical training program of up to three years. These programs usually last three years and prepare students to enter the workforce. However, you may also choose to continue your studies at the university level after completing your CEGEP diploma.

All scholarship recipients receive: a CA$14,000 yearly scholarship, a full exemption from additional international tuition fees, and health insurance coverage from the Québec Health Insurance Board (RAMQ)

Financial Assistance for Students from Réunion

Applicants from Réunion Island may be eligible for financial support from the Région Réunion.
