"My name is Olivia Carpin. I’m a first-year Early Childhood Education student at the Cégep de la Gaspésie et des Îles. The city of Gaspé reminds me of Réunion Island — with its forests and the sea. Even though I haven’t been here long, I adapted quickly. People here are very open.

Everyone knows everyone, and everyone’s genuinely interested in getting to know you. The cégep is located right in the heart of downtown. Everything you might need — whether for shopping or for fun — is close by.

What I really enjoy is the easy access to sports activities right next to the student residence. The intercultural club is a place where students from different backgrounds can meet. It’s a great way to connect with others and build friendships."
